Electrophysiology Lab

Following a consultation with your neurologist - practising in the community or at the Foundation Hospital - additional tests may be ordered to make a diagnosis or monitor your disease. Some of these tests can be performed in our electrophysiology laboratory.

Electromyogram (EMG)

This is a painless test that records the electrical activity of a muscle or nerve.

Electroencephalogram (EEG)

This test records the electrical activity of the brain via electrodes placed on the scalp. EEGs are often used to diagnose epilepsy.
